With 13 years of project planning and leadership experience in the entertainment industry - half of which was spent planning events and weddings, I know what it takes to work collaboratively to overcome challenges and bring a creative vision to life. I am skilled in establishing schedules with realistic deadlines that align with budgets, while ensuring fellow vendors have what they need to deliver their best work. I build relationships, trust, and empathy by developing a deep understanding and appreciation of the skills and creativity that makes an event special. My foundation in customer service means I care deeply about your experience, effectively communicating deadlines, goals, and logistics while ensuring you have what you need to feel confident in the process. I put care, passion, and attention to detail into planning your wedding, because it means helping you create the celebration of your dreams.

There are definitely a lot of things during the planning process you can do on your own, but there are a lot of benefits to hiring a professional planner. Having a partner in the process is essential if you want to make sure nothing slips through the cracks - as well as having someone you can lean on if you’re ever feeling overwhelmed and need encouragement. A professional planner will know how to communicate with vendors and which questions to ask. They’ll have a sense of the flow of the timeline and how long things take. They’ll be able to develop a plan that actually works and be able to articulate that with everyone involved.

I’ve heard both used inter-changeably, as well. The way I see it, a planner will be with you every step of the way, using their expertise to help guide you through all of the decisions you have to make, while ensuring everything comes together in alignment with your vision. A coordinator takes the existing plan and executes it to the best of their abilities, while partnering with fellow vendors to ensure your day runs smoothly. When I plan a wedding, I also serve as the day-of coordinator.
If you’re looking to just hire a day-of coordinator, I offer Wedding Day Management, which includes creating the day-of timeline, designing the venue layout plan, and coordinating with vendors so they understand the logistics of the day. I will also be there day-of to ensure that everything gets set up and runs according to plan, so you can focus solely on getting married.

Hiring a professional to guide you through the process will ensure you have another pair of eyes to keep tabs on all of the decisions being made and can make suggestions based on their experience and expertise. In some cases, though, it might not actually be the right decision based on your wedding budget. I offer a variety of planning options to help accommodate different sized budgets. If you and your partner are ready and comfortable with doing a lot of the conception and planning on your own, I can come in during the last few months of preparation to help you pull all of the finishing touches together.

A lot will depend on what you have envisioned for your day, your priorities, your budget, and how much you want to own. As part of my consultation calls, we will work together to uncover just how much help you'll need along the way. There are a lot of decisions to make, and some couples want to tackle more than others. Regardless of your situation, having someone to help guide you throughout the process will help put you at ease and make your wedding day run much more smoothly.

Luckily, no! It's never too early to start the planning process. In fact, during our 'discovery' conversations, I can help you determine how much you're able to spend on a venue, or what locations you might want to check out. The Bay Area has a wonderful array of options depending on what you have envisioned for your day, fitting within any budget. Even if you're thinking of hiring a planner later, let's get the conversation started now to see how I can help you during the process.
